Quick update...again

Two more games down: Prototype and Fallout 3!!

After a long hiatus...

Golden Axe...is a horrible game. I've never sold an RPG before. Ever.

I traded in Golden Axe. It is that bad. Not only is it BAD, but it nearly RUINED MY XBOX!!

Some good news though, I finally beat Suikoden IV, which I started in place of Golden Axe!! Not only did I finish the game but I also was able to collect all 108 Stars of Destiny!! That's a lot of characters...

Now I'm playing Legaia 2. Loved the first Legaia, let's see if the sequel holds up.

Quick update

Man, I've really let this blog go to the dogs. Sorry for the lack of updating, but with everything going on, I've had little desire to write on this in the last while.

BUT, I do have some big accmoplishments, I've beaten like 5 games since I last wrote anything here, including Lost Planet, Ninety Nine Nights, F.E.A.R., F.E.A.R. Files, F.E.A.R. 2, and Blue Dragon!! So go me, I'm doing really well with cleaning out my unbeaten/unplayed games.

Currently I'm working on Golden Axe: Beast Rider. Horrible game, I'll be glad to trade it in when it's beat.

Sweet, I started playing Lost Planet again after finishing FF13 and I've just conquered it as well!! Chalk another one up for the good guy!!

Well, I beat FF13. Kind of anti-climactic, since I was hoping there'd be a lot more in the storyline instead having a crap-tonne of replay junk.

Unfortunately, it was not to be. So I have the dilemma of trying to get the extra achievements now or moving back to my previous games. If I do that, I probably will not be coming back to FF13...

I really should be posting more, but...

I'm playing FF13, what more can I say? I love the story, the music, the battle system, but now that I've said it, there's not much to say about the game short of summarizing the plot in the blog, and that's not really the point of this, it's to track my progress. There has BEEN progress, by the way, as I'm on the third disc of the game, so that's something, right??

I played around on Untold Legends while I watched the Oscars...stupid Hurt Locker. I can get over giving Best Director to Kathryn Bigelow, but HOW do you not give Best PICTURE to the MOST SUCCESSFUL PICTURE OF ALL TIME!?!?

Avatar was robbed, Academy couldn't reduce themselves to giving the award to a 'cartoon'...

Clear a path...

Well, in an unexpected turn of events, I ended up popping in Dante's Inferno again, as some new DLC came out for the 360 version: the Dark Forest. Played it through, also on Hellish mode. Definitely pretty good, worth the 400 MS Points for me. My only gripe: Why...WHY did they invent the DISCO INFERNO CONSTUME!?!?!? UGH!!!

I'm getting bad at not blogging my progress, shame on me!!

Anyway, little to actually note, still plugging away at Untold Legends. I got a little bored of Blue Dragon so I've been playing some Lost Planet on the 360 as well. May switch back soon, don't wanna forget what I was doing in BD.

Hunter and Prey

After I finished off Assassin's Creed, I threw Prey back into the 360. I had played a little of it, but not much. Well, after around 17 hours in the last two or three days, I've conquered that title as well!! As a friend of mine described it, "Good game...very trippy."

Now working on finishing off Blue Dragon. Just beat Disc Two before going to bed, I'll start working on Disc Three tomorrow!

WHOO!! Finally done Assassin's Creed!!! It turned out to be an awesome game, with some great plot near the end, it was a long time coming, but I feel like it was worth it when I look back on it!

The question is: What the hell am I gonna play now!!?? Choices, choices...

Have I stated how painfully long Assassin's Creed can be at points? It's times like this that I hate being one of those guys that has to try and get everything...

Still getting good progress on Untold Legends, though.

Lowlight period...

Ugh, the going is slow for my games right now. Assassin's Creed is fun, but man...so tedious. I'm playing a lot of Untold Legends: BotB right now, really enjoying it. Another game I'm playing though, Disgaea DS, I just CANNOT get into!! The game isn't bad, I just...can't stay motivated to play it!!! ARGH!!!

And there you have it, Dante's Inferno is done, and on Hellish (hard) mode, what a fucktastic final ight. It was all worth it, this has been one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I've had in a while. But now...on to other things...until some DLC comes out for Dante. :D

Short and Sweet

Got my 360 back, started playing Assassin's Creed. Lovin' it!

Work has me really tired lately, not a whole lot of motivaiton.

Need to play through as much of AC as I can, because once Dante's Inferno comes out, it's gonna be in the 360 24/7.

Yay for having free time again!!

My plays went exceptionally well, and now I have a lot more spare time on my hands. So much so that I actually finished a game I had put away for a bit: Castlevania - Rondo of Blood. Now it's time to move onto Symphony of the Night...!

I have to apologize

Yes, I am still plugging away at my games, but with opening night for my Theatre company's latest production going tonight, I've been a little distracted. After this weekend I'll be more frequent again.

Another one bites the dust!

Or rather, another sixteen! Just finished up Shadow of the Colossus, and I have to say wow, what a really good game for one so simplistic! I can really tell it was done by the same developers as Ico, I had already owned that game, and this one feels very similar.

So, the year is young and already I have two games under my belt!! Onto the next title, which I'll inform you of once I choose it!

Minor setback...my 360 is not reading most of my games. Strangely, a select few games that I hadn't played previously, and ALL the ones I have, work fine, all the rest will NOT play. They will go as far as the main screen, but start a new game and FNER, message comes up that the disc is unreadable...

I REALLY hope I don't have to send it away for repairs...

Dragon Age is now done! What a final fight!! Had to go mono e mono with the Archdemon with ONLY Allister left and took down the last quarter of the big bastard's health ALONE! Thank God for Health poultices!! XD

Gotta love glitches

As my throat feels like it's raw, I decided to call it a day early at the office today. I let a TL know beforehand so that's not so bad. It DOES, however, open a couple extra hours for gaming.

I'm playing Dragon Age right now, exploiting the "Infinite Gold" glitch in Denerim. Wade is now my favorite NPC...mostly because he is now my sugar daddy for Sovereigns. Sell a dragon scale, make a set of armor, sell armor, buyback scale, repeat. I have some sweet equipment now. :P

Intro Entry

This is meant more for posterity than anything, but I'll give a little info on how this began:

Simply put, as a New Year's Resolution, I decided that it might be best that, save a couple VERY unavoidable titles coming out this year, I would vow to play through the video games sitting on my shelf collecting dust while never having even been cracked open yet. This will not be a small feat. I don't claim to have THE BIGGEST collection of games, but my games section certainly is not modest, and the vast majority of the games are RPGs, which means a LOT of play time required. I'll be keeping track of my progress here throughout the year, and later on, I'll add a list of all the games I'll be working on.
